The Best Days

There were times when
I knew it was good
and wished it to remain,
to remain unchanged forever

with each passing day the
same people, same places,
and the same comforts

For those times I think
blessings flowed beyond
receptions capacity.
Those times give hope
for better days,

better days
when I'll wish
for things to stay the same
the same as I do today.

This makes me think of a Shins song--

"Your memory is here and I'd like it to stay
As warm light on a winters day."

Ha, as I read back on your blog, I think this poem is incredibly sentimental. It seems you've been very blessed in your life. You were able to recognize it too. That shows your gratitude. That is admirable.
